PADI Advanced Open Water Course
If you really want to discover what adventure awaits you underwater then the PADI Advanced Open Water Course is for you! Whether you’re a newly qualified diver or have hundreds of dives under your belt this course will give you the experience, skills and confidence to take your diving to a new level!
This course has two “core” dives: the Deep Adventure Dive that will extend your depth limits and the Navigation Adventure Dive that will introduce you to the basics of navigation underwater. There are then additionally three “elective” dives where you can choose out of the following:
- Peak Performance Buoyancy
- Wreck Diving
- Night Diving
- Fish Identification
- Underwater Naturalist
- Search and Recovery
- Drift Diving
- Boat Diving
- Digital Underwater Imaging
There is a knowledge review for each Adventure Dive that you will complete and review with your instructor before commencing any of the dives. We strongly recommend the Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive as you will see the most immediate improvement in your comfort and control underwater, even if you are an experienced diver.
Partaking in this course will open up a whole different range of dive spots to you and give you the chance to explore sites such as the Salamander (an old cruise ship sunk in 25m of water) with us that would otherwise be out of your training level.
Course Time: Minimum 2 days
Content: 5 Adventure Dives
Maximum Depth Allowed: 30 meters / 100 feet
Prerequisites: Open Water Diver (from any recognised dive organisation). Children aged 12 – 14 can earn their Junior Advanced Open Water certification, with a maximum depth limit of 21 meters / 70 feet.
